Learning together

Non-formal education, with room for every voice.

Our workshops combine experimentation, dialogue and reflection. We use non-formal education methods to support young people’s personal and social development and active participation.

They mainly take place at the Fontelo Youth Centre in Viseu. We also run activities in secondary and vocational schools and higher education institutions.

Areas of work

Topics that reflect the challenges young people face.

Citizenship and Europe

Youth participation, the European dimension of education, volunteering and human rights.

Sustainability

Environmental education, responsible consumption and community action.

Independence and the future

Financial education, job hunting, interview skills and entrepreneurship.

Wellbeing and living together

Mental health, safety, gender equality, intercultural understanding and inclusion.

Creative expression

Art, theatre, dance, painting and other ways of exploring ideas as a group.

What we aim to achieve

Learn, build confidence and get involved.

Each session aims to develop skills, critical thinking and the ability to work together. Topics and methods are adapted to the group, context and goals of the partner organisation.

Past topics include cultural diversity, study skills, active citizenship, professional communication, cooking and creating with reused materials.
