What is the HWC?
The Homeless World Cup is an international tournament that uses football to promote inclusion and create new opportunities.
The event highlights work carried out throughout the year by organisations in different countries. In Portugal, this journey connects with Associação CAIS's Street Football project.
At Adamastor, we want to preserve the connection between our work in Viseu, the players and their experiences representing Portugal.
Our appearances

2025 · World runner-up
Júlio Netto took Viseu's Street Football to the World Cup in Oslo, becoming the first male player from the district to join the national team. Portugal reached the final and finished second.

After becoming a national Street Football champion representing Viseu, Ana Rita Marques was selected for the Portuguese team competing at the Homeless World Cup in Seoul. The Portuguese Football Federation named her among the eight players selected for the 2024 tournament.

Following her international experience in 2022, Jacinta Santos represented Portugal again, this time at the Homeless World Cup in Sacramento. The Adamastor player joined the Portuguese team that finished fourth.
