Adamastor invites municipalities, parish councils and organisations in the district of Viseu to organise one-day local Street Football tournaments.

The aim is for each tournament to form a representative team to compete for its municipality in the Viseu District Tournament. A journey that starts close to home and creates new opportunities for communities to meet.

Inclusion, respect and participation run through every stage. We want to involve municipalities, local organisations and people who can find in sport an opportunity to take part and grow.

From the first meeting to the district tournament

Four steps.
A team taking shape.

Planning starts with a conversation between Adamastor and the organisation wishing to host the tournament.

    Meet

    Get to know the area, share the proposal and identify how the organising body and Adamastor can work together.

  2. 02

    Prepare

    Involve local organisations and participants. Agree on the venue, date and conditions for holding the tournament.

  3. 03

    Play

    Hold a one-day tournament in the municipality, with Street Football as a meeting point for inclusion.

  4. 04

    Represent

    Form the municipal team that will compete in the Viseu District Tournament and represent its community.

Participation conditions and the process for forming the municipal team will be defined during preparations for each tournament.

Cost per event for the organising body.

A municipality, parish council or organisation in the district can commission the event. Adamastor combines organisation, participation and non-formal education in an experience for the community.

What is included

  • Travel for the Adamastor teamThe team's presence in the municipality to prepare and deliver the activity.
  • Organisation and setupPreparation and setup of the event, supported by the team.
  • Delivery and promotionRunning the tournament and promoting the initiative.
  • Participant trainingNon-formal education activities focused on participation, cooperation and personal development.

This amount covers holding the tournament in the municipality. The overall investment in the pitch and van is set out below.

Adamastor has already invested in a Street Football pitch to develop activities across the district of Viseu.

The next step is to purchase a van to transport the pitch and bring tournaments to different municipalities.

We are seeking support from municipalities, Intermunicipal Communities (CIM), other partners, sponsors and patrons to meet this investment and help the project go further.
